Learning and Networking Event #1

The program’s inaugural Learning and Networking event was held in the Cardno office building, in the Melbourne CBD. The event focused on political leadership in the Pacific, with an evidence-based summary from Dr Kerryn Baker, Research Fellow, from the Australian National University’s (ANU) Department of Pacific Affairs (DPA), and an address from Jane Hume (Senator for Victoria), followed by a panel discussion from prominent Australian and Pacific leaders; Dr Sharman Stone, Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls; Hon Ralph Regenvanu, Member of the Parliament (MP) of Vanuatu; Hon Ali’imalemanu Alofa Tu’uau, Member of the National Parliament of Samoa; and Ms Robyn Forester, CEO, Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre.
